4 the Friendship Donates Over $10,000 to Support Lima Youth Sports
Lima, OH – July 19, 2025 – 4 the Friendship is proud to announce that this year’s Lima Masters Golf Outing generated enough community support to donate over $10,000 directly to youth sports programs throughout the Lima area.
Held once again at the scenic Colonial Golfers Club, the second annual event brought together golfers, volunteers, and supporters for a full-day celebration of friendship, youth athletics, and community pride.
This year’s outing featured the debut of the thrilling 78th Green Shoot-Out—a high-energy, crowd-pleasing competition that capped off the day in style. The event was made even more meaningful by the presence of Coach Bob Seggerson, who served as honorary starter and guest speaker. His heartfelt remarks and lifelong commitment to developing student-athletes perfectly embodied the spirit of 4 the Friendship and the mission of the Lima Masters.
“We’re honored to give back over $10,000 this year to directly benefit youth sports in Lima,” said 4 the Friendship co-founder Brady Croft. “This event continues to be a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together. We unite so kids can play — and communities can thrive.”
What began as a golf outing has quickly become something much more. The Lima Masters is now a weekend of reconnection and renewal — a time when friends from across the country return home, not only to reminisce, but to give back to the city that gave so much to them. The third Saturday in July is rapidly becoming known as Lima’s Reunion Weekend — a proud tradition where laughter, legacy, and local impact all come together.
“The most exciting part has been watching the community take personal ownership of this mission,” added Croft. “People aren’t just showing up — they’re showing up proud. They’re inviting others, volunteering, donating, and wearing the Lima Masters badge like it’s a symbol of who we are. This is no longer just an event — it’s becoming a movement.”
